About the Role

We are seeking a Medical Device Research & Product Strategy Manager to lead research initiatives that shape the future of our products and enhance customer experiences. This role combines research leadership, data strategy, and storytelling to uncover insights that inform product development, marketing, and clinical engagement. You will design and execute studies that measure outcomes, user satisfaction, and clinical effectiveness, while fostering a culture of evidence-based decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a multi-year research and insights strategy.
  • Conduct product and customer-based research in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Partner with external research vendors, including universities and clinical institutions.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights for leadership, product, and marketing teams.
  • Design dashboards and reporting frameworks to track device usage and success metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical, privacy, and regulatory standards (HIPAA, FDA).
  • Communicate findings through executive briefings, white papers, and conference presentations.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Communication Sciences, Psychology, Speech-Language Pathology, Data Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product research, outcomes measurement, or data insights-preferably in healthcare, medical devices, or assistive technology.
  • Background as a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is a plus, especially for understanding clinical outcomes and user experience.
  • Strong background in study design, statistics, and applied research.
  • Experience partnering with universities or external research vendors.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA-compliant research and participant engagement.
  • Ability to translate data into insights that drive business and user impact.
  • Collaborative team player with empathy for families and clinicians.
  • Proficiency in survey tools, Excel, advanced data analysis, and presentation software.

Location: Hybrid or Fully Remote

Travel: 10-15% (includes 1-2 trips to headquarters (St. Paul) annually for remote employees, plus 3-4 additional trips for market research)

Salary Range: $90,000-$100,000 + Bonus Potential ($15,000-$18,000 annually)
